Parable of the Missing Silver Coin

2TIMOTHY 4
1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
What is the Biblical definition of Truth?
Psalm 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Men will heap up teachers to lead them from the law of God.

Mark 4:9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Luke 15: 8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it ?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbors together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Matthew25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
The parable is useless noise for those who do not seek out the hidden meaning.
So we need a deeper understanding of this. The woman represents the bride.
So what do the 10 coins represent?

Words of God = Silver

Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

10 silver coins = 10 Words and one is lost.

Deuteronomy 4:13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments (Davar = Words); and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

Lets look at this again,

Repent= Turning back to God’s Law the missing commandment.

Most christians today observe 9 of the commandments.
We lost 1 commandment and have fallen asleep. As we wake up we will find it and come back to the law. Which commandment do you suppose we lost? The 4th commandment.
Deuteronomy 5: 12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
13 Six days thou shalt labor, and do all thy work:
14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
