TRAITS OF THE TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL
THE FOLLOWING SYNOPSIS IS BASED ON THE LATTER-DAY PROPHETIC UNCTIONS OVER ISRAEL’S 12 SONS BY BOTH JACOB AND MOSHE (MOSES) RABAINU. THEY ARE NOT ALL INCLUSIVE BUT MERELY BRIEF INSIGHTS OF IMPORTANCE. THE COMMENTS ARE GENERALIZATIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS FOUND IN THE DESCENDANTS OF EACH TRIBE. THE FINDINGS ARE BY NO MEANS CONCLUSIVE, SINCE ISRAEL’S SEED IS SO THOROUGHLY MIXED AMONG ALL NATIONS AND PEOPLES.

REUBEN
Jacob: Gen. 49:3-4: “Reuben, you are my firstborn, my power and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of exaltation and the excellency of power. Boiling like water, you do not excel, because you went up to your fathers bed, then you defiled it; he went up to my couch.” Moshe Rabainu: Deut. 33:6: “Let Reuben live, and not die, and let his men be numbered.”
Comments: Reuben are those Israelite’s who have a love for the carnal and sensual despite their regeneration. They have great struggle between right and wrong and they are relatively few in number. Mainly found among the French. They succeed in many different endeavors initially but have no continuity in righteousness. Thus their success turns to oft repeated failures.
SHIMON AND LEVI
Jacob: Gen. 49:5-7: “Shimon (Simon) and Levi are brothers; their weapons are implements of violence. Let my being not be united to their assembly, because they slew a man in their displeasure, and they lamed an ox in pleasure. Cursed be their displeasure for it is fierce and their wrath for it is cruel. I divide them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel.” Moshe Rabainu: Deut. 33:8-11: “Your Tummim and your Urim belong to your Kind One, whom you tried at Masah with whom you contended at the waters of Meribah. Who said of his father and mother I have not seen them. And he did not acknowledge his brothers or know his own children for they have guarded your word and watched over your covenant. They teach your right rulings to Jacob and your Torah to Israel. They put incense before you and a complete burnt offering on your altar. O Yahuwah, bless his strength and accept the work of his hands. Smite the loins of those who rise against him and of those who hate him that they rise no more.”
Comments: Levites have several key personality traits. They are to be separate from all Israel for an initial punishment for misplaced hate and anger. They will not have a land inheritance and in their global wanderings will be seperated from the world and the people of Israel. They are found today in every tribe of Israel. Simeon also will inherit the less desirable parts of the holy land. Their temper is infamous and causes many problems. Israelites with bad tempers and unstable home lives fit this bill. In post exodus times Levi would serve Yahuwah at the altar and after the 2- house separation would minister Torah to all Israel. Many traditional rabbis and synagogue officials such as cantors and bal korehs,, (Torah readers) can be found to be from Levi. Many of those who teach Torah today as well as the Torah of Messiah who identify, as Jews are Levites, despite the fact that they don’t know mother or father and cannot prove their Levitical status. Yahuwah will always protect Levites as long as they remain faithful to their calling. Moses does not prophecy over Simeon, since Shimion never displayed any redeeming qualities to Moses or before Yahuwah. They lacked and continue to lack repentance. They are said to be Israelites in Western Europe and those descended from Western Europe, (Scotland, Ireland) with mean spirits and hot tempers, most of whom are not bible believers.
YEHUDAH
Jacob: Gen. 49:8-12: “You Yehudah, your brothers shall praise you; your hand is on the neck of your enemies; your father’s children bow before you. Yehudah is a lion’s cub; from the prey you have gone up, my son. He bowed down, he crouched like a lion. And like a lion who does rouse him? The scepter [shevet-tribe] shall not depart from Judah nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh comes and to him is the obedience of the peoples. Binding his donkey to the vine, he washed his garments in wine and his robes in the blood of grapes. His eyes are darker than wine and his teeth whiter than milk.” Moshe Rabainu: Deut. 33:7: “Hear Yahuwah the voice of Yehudah and bring him to his people. His hands shall fight for him and you be a help against his enemies.
Comments: Judah will lead Israel in military and spiritual battle and in the established royal House of David. Messiah will cause all Israel to bow and worship Him, despite dark persecution of Messiah and of Judah. Judah knows both triumph and gloom. The authority of Moses resides in Judah until Shiloh comes, at which point it is then hidden in Gad. Those who prosper in spiritual matters and revelation, and who properly interpret the Brit Chadashah in light of Torah and who are washed in Messiah’s blood are said to be from Messianic Judah. Judahites today are also those Jews who have a burning heart’s desire to reunite the 2 houses as seen in Moshe’s declaration of bringing Judah back to the rest of his people. The Judahites of today are great battlefield soldiers against modern Israel’s enemies.
ZEVULON
Jacob: Gen.49: 13: “Zevulon dwells at the seashore, he is a haven for ships and his border is unto Tsidon.” Moshe Rababinu: Duet. 33:18 “Rejoice o Zevulon in your going out.”
Comments: Those who identify themselves as Israelites and love the sea and settle near the ocean may be from Zevulon. A love for water related activities in commerce and leisure is a sign of individuals from latter day Zevulon.
YISSAKER
Jacob: Gen. 49:14: “Yissaker is a strong donkey lying between two burdens. And he saw that a resting place was good and that the land was pleasant and he inclined his shoulder to bear a burden and become a subject to slave labor.” Moshe Rabainu: Duet. 33:18: ” To your tents.” Also: 1 Chronicles 12:32: “And of the children of Issachar, men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.”
Comments: Yissakerites are at the forefront of Israel’s latter day two-house restoration. Most leaders of 2-house truth that are not from Judah or Jewish are from Yissaker. We can safely say this because in Jacobs’s prophecy, Issacher couches and lies between 2 burdens or the dual burden of reuniting the two families of scattered Israel. Being subject to slave labor means that these are individuals have made themselves servants of carrying the dual burden. Yissaker is willing to serve as an intermediary for both houses because he sees the resulting resting place of peace back in the pleasant land as the ultimate prize. Issacherites are those today in Israel, who understand the restoration times we live in, and are willing to carry a two-house burden on their shoulders, for the sake of the rest that lies ahead when the nation is fully restored. Yissakerites oppose dispensationalism.
DAN
Jacob: Gen. 49:16-18: ” Dan rightly rules his people as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan is a serpent by the way, an adder by the path that bites the horse’s heels, so that its rider falls backwards. I have waited for your deliverance O Yahuwah.” Moshe Rabainu: Deut. 33:22: ” Dan is a lion’s cub that leaps from Bashan.”
Comments: Dan will be strong in the end time battle against the Islamic anti messiah. Dan is in his way in Bashan, or Lebanon and no doubt elsewhere throughout the end time Islamic empire. Dan’s judgments vis- a-vis prophecy and apostasy are righteous, as he himself can recognize apostasy in Islam, for he also has a background of such. But in the latter days, Dan will have his mind renewed, so as to oppose the rider on the white horse, the Islamic anti messiah, so that the anti messiah’s evil program to destroy both houses of Israel goes backwards and not forewords. Dan while opposing Islam, awaits Yahshua’s return to finish the beast, as many from Dan are reawakening to their Torah roots. Dan acts like a bold lion in defense of Israel, leaping from Bashan, or even within Islamic lands or strongholds.

My note* The tribe of Dan is not included in the 144,000 in the Book of Revelation
GAD
Jacob: Gen 49:19: “Gad, a raiding band raids him, but he raids its heel.” Moshe Rabainu: Deut. 33:20-21: ” Blessed is he who enlarges Gad. He dwells as a lion and shall tear off the arm, also the crown. And he chose the best for himself. For there the ‘portion of the lawgiver’ [chaqak] was hidden [seated]. And he came with the heads of [all] the people. The righteousness of Yahuwah he did [mitzvahs], and His right rulings with Israel.”
Comments: Gad would be involved in the physical latter-day overthrow of Dan’ son, the anti Messiah, in the battle of Armageddon, and would be a troop of warriors for Yahuwah against the forces of ecumenical compromise by upholding Yahuwah’s mishpatim (Torah) for all Israel. Those who boldly and prophetically stand up to the ways of wayward ecumenical Dan, may very well be from Gad. In light of the temporary removal of the scepter and lawgiver from Judah at Shiloh’s first coming, today the scepter and lawgiving (halachic) responsibility to bring all Israel back to righteousness belongs to Gad. Gad has the crown and lawmaker hidden in the tribe and the Torah hidden in the hearts of regenerated Gad! This latter day role of Gad has not been and cannot be fulfilled by the so- called church, for she hates Torah and Yahuwah’s mishpatim. Plus she does not see herself as one with the people of Jewish Israel. Latter-day Gad has been reawakened to its role only in the recent past mostly since 1996 CE, when Ephraim’s punishment came to an end. Gad has been enlarged and many Ephraimites from the ten tribes are found in Gad as these Ephraimites in Gad establish halachah and Matt. 16 authority in restored Israel. Gad has become the major player in establishing Torah halacha for all Israel in the period from the first to the second coming. Ephraimites and Judahites, who defend Messiah Yahshua and teach Torah, may well be part of enlarged and fully faithful end time restored Gad, raiding Dan’s often hidden activities, within churchianity. They are likely found with the clarion calling of Rev. 18:4 “Come out of her my people [Israel].”
ASHER
Jacob: Gen. 49:20: ” Bread from Asher is rich, and he gives delicacies of a sovereign.” Moshe Rabainu: Deut. 33:24: “Asher is most blessed of sons. Let him be accepted by his brothers and dip his foot in oil. Your sandals are iron and bronze and your strength as your days.”
Comments: Asher means rich in Hebrew. Today’s descendents of Asher can be found among Jews, Christians and even Arabs, who intermingled with Israelites. Through a variety of business transactions these business people have attained great wealth and financial success. The financial blessing of Asher far exceeds all other tribes, as well as many earthly kings and queens. Even their shoes are of designer quality. They tend to live longer lives, full of vitality than do their brothers in Israel. Asherites are a vital part of Israel’s restoration, as they are being called to fund that restoration materially and should not be looked upon with jealousy by other Israelites. Many Asherites are found in the oil business or in oil related industries. He dips his feet in oil trades. The late oilman Leon Hess and George Bush Sr. would be possible examples of Asher.
NAPHTALI
Jacob: Gen. 49:21: ” Naphtali is a deer let loose; he gives words of elegance.” Moshe Rabainu: Deut. 33:23: “O Naphtali; satisfied with pleasure and filled with the blessing of Yahuwah, possess the west and the south.”
Comments: Naphtali has given birth to many bible teachers and 5 fold ministers, primarily in the House of Ephraim. Naphtalites words are most elegant and eloquent, for they preach and teach King Yahshua’s words. Many are evangelicals who speak Gospel words of elegance that come from his lips. Many Naphtalites are characterized by a tendency towards adoption of the full gifts of the Ruach HaKodesh, (Set Apart Spirit) as they become loose in the Ruach. In regards to Israel’s 2-house restoration, though believers in it, Naphtali often chooses to not “get sidetracked” with 2-house restoration and mainly focuses in on the blood of Yahshua by calling all Israel to Yahshua’s blood through gospel preaching and a subsequent relationship with Yahuwah. They are more likely to teach on Spirit baptism, then on 2-house restoration. Naphtalites can tend to be prophetically shortsighted. Naphtali has spiritual pleasures and blessings, by panting after a relationship with the Holy One of Yisrael. His preaching spreads west to Europe and south to the Americas.
BENYAMIN
Jacob: Gen. 49:27: “Binyamin is a wolf that tears in the morning, he eats prey, and at night he divides the spoil.”
Comments: Binyamin is made up of many hypocrites in latter-day physical Israel. During the day they appear to be powerful combatants fighting for Israel’s good and her glorious survival. But before dawn and after nightfall, they secretly sit down at the peace table with Yahuwah’s enemies and enter covenants with death and Sheol. These Benjamites, like King Saul, are found mostly in leadership positions of the modern State of Israel. Benjamin says one thing publicly and under the cover of darkness does other things. The Jews in Israel today have a high percentage of these Benjamites, who are like wolves, albeight in sheep’s clothing. Most Benjamites are found in the House of Judah. Most Benjamites are not believers in Messiah. Due to this betrayal of the nation, Moses in disgust seems to avoid even their mention, as they are not to be located in Deuteronomy 33!
Joseph-Ephraim & Manasseh
Jacob: Gen. 49:22-26: “Yoseph is an offshoot of a fruitful bearing tree, an offshoot of a fruit-bearing tree by a fountain, his branches run over a wall. And the archers have bitterly grieved him, shot at him and hated him. But his bow remained in strength and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the Mighty One of Yaccov; from there is the Shepherd the Stone of Israel. From the El of your father who helps you, and by the Almighty who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb. The blessings of your father have excelled the blessings of my ancestors, up to the limit of the everlasting hills. They are on the head of Yoseph and on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his brothers.” Moshe Rabainu: Deut. 33:13: “Blessed of Yahuwah is his land, with the choicest from the heavens, with the dew and the deep lying beneath. With the choice fruits of the sun, with the choice yield of the months; With the finest of the ancient mountains, within the choicest of the everlasting hills; With the choicest of the earth and all that fills it and the good pleasure of Him who dwelt in the bush. Let it come on the head of Yoseph and on the crown of him who was separate from his brothers. His splendor is like a firstborn bull and his horns are like the horns of the wild ox [Unicorn]. With them he pushed the peoples to the ends of the earth. And they are the ten thousands of Ephraim and the thousands of Manasseh.”
Comments: Today those from the tribe of Ephraim or Joseph are doubly fruitful and are found in all the tribes of Israel, all the world’s apostate religions, and in all nations of Israel. Despite the archers, [enemies of Yoseph’s return] who have attempted to keep his role hidden and separate from Jewish-Israel, Joseph has overcome by Yahuwah and is reasserting himself as a legitimate heir of Israel. In Gen 49: verse 24, we have another confirmation that between the first and second comings, the scepter [shevet-tribe] and the crown of lawgiving authority [chaqaq] in Israel, will rest in and among the people of Joseph or more specifically Joseph within enlarged Gad, which is enlarged to hold Joseph in his return to Israel from among the nations. Spiritual and physical blessings are all bound in one package in Joseph-Ephraim, along with the promise of wide scale physical multiplicity in the wombs and breasts of the women of Joseph-Ephraim. Eternal blessings of eternal life (the gospel) are also entrusted to Joseph. Masses of Yoseph’s offspring will inherit everlasting hills, [eternal life] which Jacob said was far greater then any earthly inheritance he or his fathers had received. Joseph will have the choicest possessions in the holy land when it is resettled. Those who enjoy these fruitful blessings in the Spirit and in the natural are the promised melo hagoyim or fullness of the gentiles. Through Ephraim-Joseph-Israel, Yahuwah will physically fill all the latter-day nations of the earth. Yoseph is often synonymous with Ephraim, as found in Rev. 7:8 and Ezekiel 37:16.
Manasseh was said to become a single great nation within Joseph’s promise of fruitfulness according to Gen. 48:19. As Yoseph experienced the despair of separation from his brothers in earlier days, in the latter-days, Yoseph in like manner will know the joy of national restoration. Manasseh has become primarily a single great nation known today as the United States of America. Manasseh replaces the tribe of Dan in Rev 7:6, as Yahuwah’s punishment upon Dan for being responsible for the golden calf worship that they have brought upon Israel, both in days gone by, as well as up until this present day. Yahuwah will not seal any from Dan in the Great Tribulation, instead sealing many from Manasseh. Most bible believers who cannot and do not specifically fit the characteristics of the other tribes, are Ephraim or perhaps Manasseh, if they live in the USA or any of her related lands and are faithful bible believers. Ephraim is also found among the sons of Ishmael and Esau, who have not adopted the Muslim faith, like the Lebanese Christians. The Unicorn has only one horn, symbolizing that only one house, [10 collective tribes of Joseph-Ephraim] will be primarily responsible for pushing Israel into all the nations.
