In the Book of Leviticus we are told what is the best food to eat. Many still adhere to this and many say it was done away with. My personal view on this only shows me that there must have been a reason why God commanded these things in the oral law. Why do we have so many diseases? Is it what we eat today? God gave us indications on how to nourish our body and to keep it healthy, however it is your choice what you want to eat. I just know how I feel the next day after eating pork. The first thing the doctor will tell you if you are over weight or have high blood pressure is to lay off the PORK! So it is my personal preference not to eat it. I will eat it if it is offered and make no fuss about it, but, I dread the next day following 😦

Mark 7:14-20 KJV: And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
Does this not mean that all food once it is received with thanksgiving towards the Lord is safe to eat? Am I interpreting the scriptures wrong?
